We've been hearing stories of brokerage houses INSISTING that before the
client receives his registered shares, the client has to sign a blank
Power of Attorney (PA) for those shares.

Don't Sign it.........!!!!!!

The brokerage houses are looking to treat your shares as "street
shares", never turning them into the Depository companies ( DTC and the
CDS) and in affect having a "pool" of street stock circling the back
offices covering short positions. Don't get conned into signing. That
certificate is YOUR property and if they insist that you sign a PA
before you receive it, they are engaging in a criminal activity called
extortion. Report them to the police.
